Taare Zameen Par
Amir Khan is experimenting with different kind of roles. This attitude of his is taking him places. The film “Taare Zameen Par” has proved to be a trendsetter where one and all would agree that an ace actor can be a good director too. What makes taare zameen click,I think, is that it isnt just about dyslexia. It is about underperformers,it is about family, it is about teachers, it is about parenting and it is about patience. ![]()
Aamir has brilliantly portrayed the mysterious, magical child who suffers from dyslexia. With great dexterity he has delved deep into the psyche of a young imaginative mind and how it is perturbed by the constant pressure from his parents who only understand the “rat race” of the regular life. This sensitive actor turned director has brought to the fore how buds are nipped before blooming, because the age-old traditional methods of teaching kill their curiosity. But what makes this Khan an out and out winner is the fact that though the finale is unsurprising and obvious, it does not stop the sensitive mind of the viewer to lose track and thanks to the taut editing in the second half, that the film keeps tugging at our heartstrings by nullifying the negatives in the entire film.![]()
Amir Khan has done it again and this time he needs to be credited more for his thoughts, his vision and his direction. He has helped Bollywood take a giant leap towards the making of meaningful cinema that not only mesmerizes, but also speaks for itself.
