Sonali Bendre is popularly nick-named as the ‘golden girl’ of Bollywood. She is one of the most beautiful actresses of the Indian film industry. Sonali has studied in Bangalore and also in Mumbai in Kendriya Vidyalaya and in Holy Cross Convent High School in Thane. Born on 1st January, 1975, Sonali started her career as a popular model. Before starting as a model, Sonali was selected for the ‘Star Dust Talent Search’. Sonali shifted to Bollywood with the movie ‘Aag’ in 1994, in this film, she was paired opposite Govinda. She went to become a successful actress after some initial struggles. Her performance is appreciated in films like ‘Bhai’ , ‘Sarfarosh’ opposite Aamir Khan, ‘Zakham’, ‘Duplicate’ , ‘Dil Hi Dil Mein’ ‘ Tere Mere Saath Rahey’ among many others.

Sonali Bendre is one of the few actors who opposite all the four Khans namely Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan, Saif Ali Khan and Salman Khan and also has starred opposite some other big names of Bollywood. She has won the ‘Filmfare Lux New Face Award’ in the year 1995 and has even won the ‘Star Screen Award Best Supporting Actress’ in 2001 for the movie ‘Humara Dil Aapke Paas Hai’. The film was directed by Satish Kaushik and had Anil Kapoor and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in the lead. Besidesgood actress, Sonali is also regarded as an exponent in dancing. After her marriage in 2002, Sonali Bendre has been out of the limelight. Sonali is now set to act in theater in a play called ‘Aap Ki Soniya’.
