The gorgeous Manisha Koirala was one the most prominent actors of the Indian film industry. This beautiful looking actress originally hails from Nepal and she belongs to the famous politically known Koirala family of Nepal. Born on 16th August in 1970 in Kathmandu, Nepal, Manisha is the ambassador of UNFPA Goodwill and a social activist and a famous actress. She is well-accomplished dancer of Bharatnatyam and Manipuri. She made her debut in the Nepali movie named ‘Pheri Bhetaula’ in 1989. It was director Subhas Ghai who gave her first break in the 91 hit movie ‘Saudagar’, the film also starred eminent film stars like Dilip Kumar, Raj Kumar, Amrish Puri and more. Then Manisha Koirala went to work in some good movies with some well known directors.

Her most remarkable performance has been in films like ‘Bombay’, which was released in 1995. The film was based on the Bombay riots of December 1992 to January 1993 and was directed by the famous filmmaker Mani Ratnam. This film won her the ‘Filmfare Best Performer Award’. Manisha Koirala has acted in some very good films and her acting has been highly commendable in most the films. Her list of noted films include: ‘Khamoshi: The Musical’ where she played the daughter of deaf and dumb parents, she was paired opposite Salman Khan and she won the ‘Filmfare Best Performer Award’ as well as ‘Star Screen Award for Best Actress’, ‘Dil Se…’ another Mani Ratnam direction opposite Sharh Rukh Khan, the Ram Gopal Verma directed ‘Company’ which won her third ‘Filmfare’ award.
