Katrina Kaif is a popular model who has also had recent hits in Bollywood. She was born on July 16, 1984 to a Caucasian mother and Indian father. Katrina grew in Hawaii and later shifted to London. At the tender of age of 14, Katrina began modeling for a jewelry campaign in London. Continuing her modeling gave her the opportunity to work in Bollywood. She got her first break in Bollywood when she was offered to act in ‘Boom’ which was directed by none other than the famous film-maker Kaizad Gustad. And once she landed in India, Katrina was flooded with offers. It was with the advertisement of ‘Lakme’ that Katrina got noticed.

Owing to her language problems, she usually has her voice dubbed by a native speaker for her films. Other than Hindi films, Katrina has also appeared in few Telegu and Malayalam films. Her on screen pair with Akshay Kumar is very popular and both them have appeared together in few films like ‘Humko Deewana Kar Gaya’ which came in 2006, ‘Namestey London’ was released in 2007, this film was a hit and in the late 2007 came ‘Welcome’ which was also a hit. Katrina’s other films include ‘Maine Pyaar Kyun Kiya’ which starred Salman Khan, Sushmits Sen and Sohail Khan, ‘Sarkar’. Katrina has also won the ‘Stardust Breakthrough Performance Award (Female)’ for the film ‘Maine Pyaar Kyun Kiya?’. In her recent released hit movie ‘Race’, Katrina has played a negative role. Katrina’s forthcoming films include ‘Singh is Kingg’ and ‘Yuvraj’.
